The case
The table does not support that gap in price. Al-Ahli sit ninth on nine points from six games with a goal difference of +4, just one place and one point above tenth-placed Al-Hazm, who are level on goal difference. Even so, the market rates the hosts at around 75% and the visitors at under 12%, a split that owes more to squad value than to what either side has produced this season. Al-Ahli have not been closing matches out either: their last five results read L W L L W, with nine goals scored and nine conceded, including three defeats, and a defence conceding at that rate tends to let opponents level the score rather than protect a lead. Al-Hazm fit a low-scoring profile of their own — W D D L L, four goals for and five against in five matches, with a draw in one of their two away trips, and their single goalless result in this head-to-head history came against this same opponent.
The risks
History leans hard toward the hosts: Al-Ahli have won four of the last five meetings, including 2-0, 2-0, 4-0 and 3-1, three of them by two goals or more, and they have won both home games they have played this season. This also looks like a game with goals in it — the match total sits at three, and I. Toney has scored five of Al-Ahli's nine goals across their last five matches, three of them in the league, while Afimico Pululu is among the few Al-Hazm players to have scored in that stretch. Goals at both ends tend to break a level score more often than they preserve one. Set against a market that implies 18.5% for the draw, our own 20% is only about a point and a half higher, narrow enough to sit inside normal noise, so this is a read on the match rather than a clear-cut edge.
