Celta Vigo travel to Getafe's Coliseum on Monday for a La Liga fixture between two sides short on goals. Celta have scored only once in their first four matchdays, matching their worst start to a league season since 2016/17, while Getafe, under José Bordalás, kept a clean sheet in both meetings between the clubs last season.
Celta's away form tells its own story: draws of 0-0 at Mestalla and 0-0 at Anoeta have left them without a goal on the road this season, though they have not conceded away either. Their only goal so far came at home in Balaídos, scored by Iago Aspas, in a match they failed to win. Overall this season they have two draws and two defeats.
Getafe have not fared much better in front of goal, scoring just once in three matchdays through Enes Ünal, with only four of their 22 shots on target. The last meeting between the sides at the Coliseum, seven months ago, finished goalless, with Celta managing only one shot on target against goalkeeper David Soria.
Bordalás said two days before the match that he shared club president Ángel Torres's view that the squad ended the transfer window too thin. Getafe brought in Iván Azón and Nemanja Gudelj before the deadline, while Juan Berrocal and Yvan Neyou departed. Both new signings are in the squad, with Gudelj in contention to start in midfield ahead of Francho, though Bordalás is not expected to make major changes despite a recent away defeat to Osasuna. Christantus Uche and Juanmi Jiménez remain injured, Mario Martín and Andrés García appear to have recovered, and Abdel Abqar is a doubt.
Getafe will look to Ünal, who scored twice against Partizan in Conference League qualifying, and Martín Satriano, still without a league goal this season, to provide the finishing. Satriano could face fellow Uruguayan Sebastián Cáceres, Celta's newest signing, who has had only two training sessions with his new club but could still start alongside Marcos Alonso and Javi Rodríguez in defence.
Celta forward Borja Iglesias is back from a soleus injury but not yet ready for 90 minutes, leaving coach Claudio Giráldez to weigh starting him or using him from the bench. Should Iglesias start, he would join Aspas and Hugo Álvarez in attack, with Miguel Román and Moriba kept in midfield because of Aleix Febas's injury.
